1996 camaro Z-28 Transmission slips in "D" ond in Overdrive but reverse and 2nd are ok.?

Z-28 w/ automatic transmission, is slippin, the fluid was low i added 2qrts. it appears to be linda brown in color. would changing the fluid help it?
