Traveling restrictions with a felony?

hey...i was arrested about a 3 weeks ago for possession of heroin (FELONY) i have not yet gone to county court or anything...my lawyer is trying to get everything settled before my indictment ( im eventually going to be clear of these charges because i have no heroin on me..a cousin had it...and they will testify that i had no involvement.) Anyway, next week i have a ticket to go to the Ukraine for a couple weeks. I asked my lawyer if i was allowed to go, and he was unsure about whether or not they'd let me in when i get to the ukrainian airport...he said its a gamble.... but i am allowed to leave america... do you think i will be able to get in...im not trying to flee or cause trouble...just trying to visit my girlfriend in college.
