Question for Christians and Atheists?

How come jesus is so much less cooler than the old testament god is he loosing his powers? In the old testament god creates a man from dust.... Jesus has to spit on people eyes to heal their blindness.... God parts the sea and helps people turn rivers into blood and all jesus can manage is turning water into wine... What is with this lack of basic God training i think its terrible that even in heaven education standards are dropping.
