What is the best 125 learner bike?

Im 16 live in the countryside and I have been wanting a bike for about 2 years now, I have been thinking about getting the Yamaha Yzf r125 second hand ranged to about 2000-2500 as it has been recommended to me countless times for its reliability and handling my family is backing me up financially. I am just wondering if I am making the right decision it is for everyday use for when I go to college. Please advice only from people who know a good amount about bikes.
