Can Tiger Woods do damage control and ever play in another tournament again?

It's hard to believe that Tiger Woods can come back and be taken seriously on the PGA tour, especially since for decades he's projected such a squeaky clean image. He's not in the category of O.J. Simpson, but I definitely think his career is finished as a pro golfer or anything else in the public venue. How can anybody watch him play again and not think about what happened. The jokes about his marriage, how he fooled around and how his wife hit him with everything but the kitchen sink will make it impossible to take a tournament that he's in seriously. There'll be jokes about him just having a golf club in his hand and hitting a ball when there are trees around.
